QuizFire
Terms
Short, because the game is simple and so is the deal.
In effect 24 September 2026. These terms cover the QuizFire Android app, the browser version at play.quizfire.app, and this website. QuizFire is made by Shyam Valsan, an individual developer.
The short version
QuizFire is a free quiz game for people aged 13 and over. Play fair, pick a name you would say out loud, and do not try to break the service. We promise no ads, no pay-to-win, and a way to delete everything. We will do our best to keep the questions right and the service up, and we say so plainly when we cannot.
Who can play
You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is fine with you playing. By playing you accept these terms and the privacy policy, which explains what we collect and why.
Your account
The app creates an anonymous player on first launch. Signing in is optional and only exists so your progress can find you on a new phone. You are responsible for what happens under your name, and for keeping the device and the sign-in account you use secure. One person, one account: extra accounts made to farm ratings or dodge a block may be removed.
Fair play and good company
Other people see your display name and avatar in duels and on leaderboards. Do not use a name, avatar or photo that is abusive, sexual, hateful, or pretends to be someone you are not. Do not use scripts, modified clients, or anything else to answer for you or to interfere with other players or the service. We may reset ratings, rename or remove an account that does these things. Where we can, we say why.
If another player bothers you, report them or block them. Tap their row on a leaderboard or their name in your friends list, or the three dots on a challenge card. A report comes to us with the reason you pick, and we read every one. A block works straight away: that player leaves your rankings, and neither of you can challenge the other, send a friend request or be paired in a live duel. Neither a report nor a block is announced to the other player. You can unblock in Settings.
What we promise
- Free to play. All topics, all modes, all the time.
- No ads, ever. There is no advertising in the game and no advertising SDK in the app.
- No pay-to-win, ever. If we introduce Premium, it will sell improvement and cosmetics. Never power, never access to the core game.
- Your data is yours to delete. A couple of taps in Settings, or one email, removes everything.
Questions and answers
Every question is checked before it is published and comes with an explanation. We still get some wrong. If you find one, report it from the reveal screen or write to us, and we will fix or remove it. A wrong question is not a reason to change a result already recorded, but persistent errors are a reason for us to review a topic.
Ratings, tiers and leaderboards
Ratings are computed by the game and belong to the game. They may be recalculated if we change the rating system, fix a bug, or remove a question that should not have counted. They have no monetary value and cannot be bought, sold or transferred.
Premium, if and when
If we offer a paid Premium, its price, what it includes and how to cancel will be stated in the store before you pay, and purchases go through Google Play or the browser payment provider, whose own terms apply to the payment itself. Premium will never include anything that changes a duel's outcome.
Our content and yours
The questions, explanations, artwork, the QuizFire name and the fuse are ours or licensed to us. You may share screenshots, results and challenge links freely; that is the point of them. You may not copy the question bank or the app to build something else. Your display name and avatar stay yours; you give us permission to show them to other players as part of the game.
Availability and changes
QuizFire is a small, independent project. We aim to keep it running well, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or that a particular feature will stay. We may change or retire features, and we may stop the service with reasonable notice on this website and in the app. Your right to delete your data does not depend on the service still running.
Liability
QuizFire is provided as it is, free of charge. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data outside our control, or anything that follows from a wrong answer, a rating change, or a period of downtime. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.
Ending things
You can stop playing at any time and delete your account from the app or by email. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we do, you can still ask us to delete your data.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will change the date at the top and say so in the app's release notes. The version you are reading is the one in force.
