QuizFire
Delete your account
Two ways to do it. Both remove everything.
This page covers the QuizFire app for Android (package app.quizfire) and the browser version at play.quizfire.app. Last updated 24 September 2026.
In the app, in a few taps
This is the fastest route and it needs nobody's help. Which button you use depends on whether you ever signed in.
If you never signed in
- Open QuizFire and go to Profile. The fourth tab, on the right of the bar at the bottom.
- Tap the settings gear.Top right of the profile screen.
- Tap Delete my data and confirm. In the Account section. There is one confirmation, and then it is done.
If you signed in
- Open QuizFire and go to Profile. The fourth tab, on the right of the bar at the bottom.
- Tap the settings gear.Top right of the profile screen.
- Choose Account. The first row of the Account section, showing your email address.
- Tap Delete account and confirm. At the bottom of the Account screen. There is one confirmation, and then it is done.
Deletion runs straight away, on our server and on the phone. It cannot be undone, and there is no grace period in which we hold the data back. Deleting does not cancel a Google Play subscription, if you ever bought one: cancel that in Google Play, under Payments and subscriptions.
By email
If you have lost the phone, cannot open the app, or would rather we did it, write to quizmaster@quizfire.app with the subject Delete my QuizFire account.
- If you signed in: send the message from the email address on the account. That is all the proof we need.
- If you never signed in: tell us your friend code, the six characters shown on the Friends screen. Display names are not unique, so the code is how we find the right player. If you cannot open the app any more to read it, tell us your display name, roughly when you started playing and your country, and we will do our best.
We answer within 30 days and usually within a few days. We will confirm in writing when it is done.
What is deleted
Everything tied to you, in one operation:
- Your player record: display name, avatar, colour, city, region and country, and the device key that identified you.
- Your email address and the link to your sign-in account, if you had one.
- Every per-topic rating, tier, win and loss.
- Every match, duel and head-to-head record, including the ones your rivals remember.
- Every challenge you created and every attempt you made at somebody else's.
- Every recorded run of yours in the pool that other players duel against offline.
- Your friends list, friend requests either way, your Daily Challenge scores and your notification settings.
- Any feedback you sent, reports you made and reports about you, and every block either way.
Removing the app from your phone also removes the copy of your progress kept on the device, along with any photo you chose as an avatar, which never left the phone in the first place.
What remains, and why
Two things survive, and neither of them is about you:
- Counters. Numbers such as "matches played on 8 September" or "page views for the home page" are totals with no player attached. Yours is already mixed into a sum that cannot be taken apart.
- Your waitlist email, if you joined the waitlist on this website. That list is separate from the game. Ask in the same message and we will remove it too.
Sign-in identities are held by Firebase Authentication on Google's side. Deleting your QuizFire account removes our link to that identity; if you also want the Google side gone, we will pass the request on when you ask.
Nothing to delete yet?
If you have never opened QuizFire, there is nothing on our side to remove. Playing in a browser without signing in creates the same anonymous player record as the app, and the same Delete my data button in Settings removes it.
Read the privacy policy for what we collect while you are playing, and how long we keep it.
